only got 14. most likely its me. mrs soh was so angry at me. haiz. she said i was loud and clear but i had no eye contact. i guess thats just encouraging me, she said we can redo if we have time.

the other reason why i am sad is coz i think i pulled my group members marks down. especially nicole.

1. The source shows that the people living in the East Indies were unhappy at that time as they were poor. This is seen in Source A: ‘fulfills the high task of spreading happiness and welfare among the population’. This proves that the locals were not happy were not respected as their country was poor. They often fight among themselves; this can be proven as Source A states ‘raising its social, economic and political status’. This goes to show that the people were not educated and the Dutch think that they are uncivilized at that time, and felt that they were needed to increase the standard of their living.

These words were spoken in 1928 in a Volksraad session where it was an advisory body including both Indonesian and Dutch were members. It was spoken in the time where the Dutch began bringing the Indonesian archipelago under their administrative authority.

There was no government in Indonesia at that time where the speech was written, therefore, the people were poor and did not have jobs. They were not respected by the people from other countries as Indonesia was not rich then. A country will only get respected if it was rich, so Indonesia would not get any respect from the other countries.

The Dutch governor-general was trying to convince both the Dutch and the Indonesians members who was in the Volksraad that Dutch leadership was indispensable in Indonesia, as he assured that Indonesia will progress and thrive, the locals would not have to suffer so much and they would get education and jobs. Indonesia will then get richer and gain more respect from the other countries. He said: “spreading happiness and welfare among the population and raising its social economic and political status” as he wanted to make sure that he had the support and believe of fellow members by telling them that the Dutch would bring prosperity. Thus this would secure their leadership in Indonesia.

2. It was due to economic reason, political reasons and social reasons.

One of the political reasons is that there was a need to bring order, stability and prosperity to South East Asia as there was a chaotic political situation in parts of South East Asia that disrupted the European trade. There was also a need to bring order and stability to enhance production of raw materials and increase trade.

One of the social reasons is that some European powers wanted to spread Christianity in South East Asia, western powers also believed that European culture was superior and they felt that they were bringing ‘civilisation’ to the natives in the places they colonized and were helping to improve their welfare.

disadvantages:
-hard to hide the string and some teachers will find it weird.
-doesn't look like decoration at all

oh and we should joining ivp. you know its nygh's shun shi that we didn't get into ivp,this is such a great design.

i have decided to do a review on teachers today, (you know the reason, bored)
okay, i used to like geography when i got 22/25, but now i am fine with it coz i didn't really do well for geog for eoy, but for the sake for cute mrs ho, i shall continue loving geog. however, this nice teacher of mine(can't remember the name), who teaches me geog, has some very unfunny sense of humour. i can never fall asleep in mrs ho's class(well sometimes), but i have been falling asleep for every single one of this geog teacher's class. and she still say she's been teaching for a long time(no wonder all my seniors fail geog one...jkjk). and she doesn't even make jokes and her voice is ... damn... boring. so i am rating her: 2.5/5(you ji ge)

now history. I DON'T LIKE HISTORY AT ALL COZ OF THE DAMN TEACHER. you know why?coz this damn teacher(i know her name but i dun want to remem), who pulled me out last year to scold me coz i have been talking too much in her class, wouldn't set up her com if the it person is not there. how lan duo can this person be huh???? and pls lor, she's the one who told me how to set up the damn visualiser and then now she damn lan duo. nevermind i have no interest in history any way. so basically i shal not say much about this damn teacher coz i don't holy like her at all, so rating: 1.5/5(yeah lower than geog coz i like geog more)

chinese teacher sucks. always scold us scold us scold us. i know 201 very noisy, but then you don't have to say it everyday right?not like if you say it everyday then one day suddenly all of us become very quiet. well maybe(0.1 percent chance). and seriously, can you stop blinking your eye 3 times every 5 seconds. i seriously think that there is something wrong with your eye. nevermind, you don't look like strict teacher but there's something wrong with your eye and your big mouth. anyway, i used to be ok with chinese , but now with this chinese teacher who gives us ting xie , i think i am going to hate chinese like shit(well maybe not...who knows)

BUT I STILL CAN GET A1 FOR MATH HOR:) and i find that ms teo is becoming the (second best teacher)....in my list!!!

mrs soh is scary when she's angry, but she looks like a doll and she can say many languages.....yeah quite a lot....don't understand what she's saying when she says those languages......but she's short, and thats why i like her, coz i can speak to someone who is shorter than me(other than yanjie and few people)(and plus she's a teacher)

 art was a bit better coz we had to design road signs ... so i drew some pricture with 2 kings holding hands or something like that:)so proud of myself coz it looked cute.
